EXPERIENCED SIGN ESTIMATOR

Kinney Custom Signs, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Sign Estimator & Purchasing Manager for our Southern California operations.

We do business as Kinney Electric Signs & Installation, a California licensed C45 electrical sign contractor. We are seeking an individual with demonstrated expertise in all aspects of contractor bidding including takeoffs, generating timely RFIs and managing vendor and supplier relationships. 

We also do business as Signarama Santa Monica | West LA | South Bay. Thus, we are seeking an individual with the expertise to bid complex projects and the patience to mentor junior estimators.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS OF SIGN ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE & ESTABLISHED SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA VENDOR RELATIONSHIPS

The ideal candidate will be comfortable and versatile with software systems, have excellent math and analytical skills, be qualified to read plans, interpret photographs and drawings, work on spreadsheets and word processing documents and be a team player.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for generating Estimates for signage projects. In that capacity, you would naturally have experience with reading and understanding bid requirements, submitting RFIs and bids as well as established relationships with materials and service vendors.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years sign industry experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in sign estimating
• Established relationships with Southern California Suppliers and Vendors
• Outstanding communication and negotiating skills
• Dedication to excellence
